Our next scheduled adoption day is Sunday, Aug 8. If you'd like to meet a rabbit on an alternate date, contact us and we'll try to make arrangements.

Please complete our Adoption Application Form if you are interested in adopting.

Please contact us well in advance of adoption days to be given an appointment to meet adoptable rabbits. Also, we will gladly arrange a meeting with a foster home or shelter volunteer, to help find the perfect bunny for you!

Remember, when you adopt from HRS, you are helping two bunnies; the one you take home, and the one we are able to pull from a shelter and into foster care, to fill the newly opened space.

Poppy's Fund
San Diego HRS takes in several "special needs" rabbits each year and helps shelters with medical cases they cannot manage. To do this crucial work we created "Poppy's Fund." This special medical fund allows us to provide surgeries and medical care for HRS foster or shelter rabbits.

Read about our Special Needs rabbits to see how your donations are helping to save lives and give these special rabbits a chance for their own homes.

Blossom is one of our Special Needs bunnies. She has a permanent "head tilt" and requires ongoing VOM treatments to enhance her movement and balance.

Get Involved!

VOLUNTEER WITH SDHRS
San Diego HRS has MANY volunteer needs including Foster Home Assistants, Hay Elves, Bunny Nail Trimmers, Office Helpers, Supplies Transporters, Shelter Volunteers and more! We will match you with a volunteer position that fits your skills and interests. Training is provided.

We have opportunities for Parents and older children to volunteer together, for Seniors, and for those who need to complete mandatory service hours (picking up supplies and helping with hay is perfect for this). We have occasional opportunities such as Education Events and many regular, ongoing needs.

Shop the Bunny Store!
San Diego HRS offers a super cool "bunny store" where you can purchase all the best supplies for your favorite rabbit companions. We're open from Noon to 3 p.m., the first 4 Saturdays of every month. Get fresh hay, high quality pellets, and Care fresh bedding at the best prices in town, and the healthiest bunny treats and toys - all at the HRS Bunny Store! Get all the details!
