Please note, this seminar is required for all potential adopters.
If you are a potential adopter and attending this seminar, you must have your video on and the responsible adult must attend this class. If the responsible adult is not attending the class or if the video is not on, and you wish to continue with the adoption process, we will require that you retake the class before you proceed with the next step. You must be 21 years of age to adopt. If you are under 21 and live at home, please have a parent or guardian complete the form with you. Your parent or guardian (21 or older) will be the person required to sign the legal adoption contract. We adopt only to homes where the rabbit is housed as an indoor family companion, this means no outdoor living or patio living. This is an SDHRS policy and philosophy. If you plan on adopting from SDHRS, please do not buy your housing before you meet with an adoption counselor. Your adoption counselor will go over all of this during your meeting.
Our seminar is offered virtually via Zoom (link will be sent to you after signing up for a session).
Class starts promptly at 10:30am. If you sign in after 10:30 am, you may not be admitted into the class. This class includes important information in regard to the commitment involved with having a rabbit. We request that you take the meeting from a home or office where you are able to give the class your complete attention.
There is a $3.00 donation fee to register for the class that you will pay during sign-up.
A quiz will follow this class.
This class may be recorded for training purposes.
All fees are non-refundable.
