Medical Needs Rabbit: Freya

Freya was returned to SDHRS after presenting with fecal and urine matting around her rectum and signs of moist dermatitis near her mouth. A veterinary exam revealed her teeth were healthy, but she had a localized skin infection that was successfully treated with antibiotics. While the cause of the initial infection remains unknown, the condition recurred in September, and she completed another round of Pen-G injections. Freya has responded well to treatment, and our team continues to monitor her closely for any signs of the infection returning. She’s otherwise a healthy, happy rabbit ready to thrive in a loving home with attentive care.

Ongoing medical needs: Monitoring for recurrence of the mouth infection
